Job Description - Interim CTO
The Interim CTO will play a pivotal role in transforming the technology landscape, focusing on minimizing technical debt and accelerating technical innovation. This role requires a seasoned technology leader with a proven track record of managing complex technology environments, implementing innovative solutions, and driving technology transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a technology strategy that prioritizes reducing technical debt and accelerating innovation.
- Provide leadership and direction to the technology team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and fostering a culture of innovation.
- Implement strategies to refactor, re-engineer, or replace legacy systems and codebases.
- Establish and enforce best practices for code quality, documentation, and testing to prevent future technical debt.
- Implement best practices for software development and IT operations to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Mentor and develop the technology management team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Job Requirements - Interim CTO
- Proven experience as a CTO at a product company, having led a tech department of 500+ FTE
- Strong background in software development, architecture, and infrastructure management.
- Demonstrated experience in leading technology transformations and managing complex technology projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically in a fast-paced environment.
